Welcome
to the Concept of SUSTAINABLE
DEVELOPMENT (SD)
This
web site will overcome the complexity, confusion,
and perceived contradictions of
many regarding the topic of sustainable development. SUSTAINABILITY
is achieved when we understand
the economic, environmental, and social CONSEQUENCES
of our
actions
and make DELIBERATE
CHOICES that allow all people to lead healthy, productive
and enjoyable lives.
Five
E's Unlimited will help you understand the many connected issues
in our world and how the kinds of choices we make
based upon this understanding affect the consequences of
our actions (the 3 Cs).

Recent
work of Five E's has focused on two areas:
- over
the last several years we have developed a solid reputation
for successfully assisting communities in strategic
planning for sustainable communities; and
- we have researched,
published and are disseminating the Sustainability
Manifesto, a comprehensive narrative of sustainability awareness,
to individuals and in a retreat/workshop format to organizations
and businesses.
What One Client
Had to Say:
Warren Flint of Five E's Unlimited served as a Countryside
Stewardship Exchange Team member to the Dumphies-Galloway
region of Scotland. Wigtown, Scotland
had more than its share of challenges when the Countryside Exchange visited.
Raymond Armstrong had purchased an old distillery, operating it as a visitor
center. The Exchange team's public presentation on their assessment of the
region changed him -- and Wigtown. "I was struck by the team's honesty," Raymond
says. "They told us that it was up to us to make the best of what we have.
No one else was going to do it for us." Bouyed by the Exchange team's
guidance and leadership and the eventual success that brought, Wigtown competed
for and won designation as Scotland's first "Booktown." One individual
found new confidence, motivation and commitment. So did an entire community.
